Tiitus is the youngest male in our family. Having him was a dream come true! Few years back I started to dream about a third toller. I wanted to find a nice dog with a good personality I could do some obedience and field training with. I thought than a female would be nice but I lost the voting 1 to 3. The boys in the house decided that only a male would be okay :-) I did some researching and tried to find what I was looking for. There is no such thing as a perfect toller, so obviously I had to think which things really are important to me. First come health - both mental and physical. Health issues are always balancing between things but I personally want to avoid autoimmune diseases as much as I can. But sometimes you just end up having enormous amount of bad luck and Tiitus suffers from arthritis meningitis.

I was looking for a hunting dog I wanted to have a puppy out of parents who have proven their ability in the field. I had few interesting choices that looked very nice on paper. Then I sow Tingeling "live"! It was at the Swedish toller Specialty in 2001. Tingeling and Louise did really nice work and I was "sold"! Tingeling is my kind of toller with a capital T :-) I contacted the breeder Anette and after that I have been waiting....

Tiitus mum Swedish show champion Tingeling - Vildandens Knipa af Nortchi - is a third generation Vildand = Vildduck. She has competes obedience in the highest level, field trials in the open class and is a Swedish blood tracking champion. Her grandmother is the legendary Kanadickens Celia Lind "Jazza" who has done extremely well both in shows and in the field. Tingelings mum Vildandens Drottning af Snickjaz "Chila" is a daughter of Jazza and Tollartrollets Snickers. Father of Tingeling is Nordwart Canadian Rödräv, who is born in Finland and been exported to Sweden. Tiitus dad is Bella Novas Didis Challe, a son of Bella Novas Lockande Didi and Aindow's Charlie.

"Challe" is a cool guy who serves his master in everyday hunting situations.
In our family the dogs get to do things they do best. Tiitus seems to have an excellent nose so he we have started to train blood tracking with him. He really enjoys this kind of work and is even a bit too anxious to go fast forward. Tracking will be his main hobby since he enjoys it so much and I want to be extra careful not to stress him too much because of the A/M.
We achieved our first goal in retrieving when he passed the Finnish retrieving test in September 2004. Hopefully we will be able to start in hunting tests a bit later.
