NEWS 2008
21.12.2008 two newcomers
Early on Saturday morning Oodi gave
birth to four pups, one boy and three girls. Unfortunately
the boy had cleft palates and the last girl had an opening
in her belly and these two were put to sleep. What we have
left is two beautiful girls who have tiny stars on their
foreheads. They are named Pirre and Hansu after a characters
in a famous finish comedy series in the sixties. Will
another one of the girls be my next hope for the future and
become a foundation bitch which I have been desperately
hoping for? I don't know! Sense and feeling tell me
different things!
13.12.2008 retrieve test & winner
show
Yesterday great news from Sweden
reached us.
Impa, Daughter of Toppa and Kössi passed the retrieve
test, only 8 months old! Congrats! Today
Eppu and Essi were shown in Finnish winner show. Eppu
got very good and Essi as well, Congrats!
Two Redadicts were entered.
Otto
finished fourth best junior male and his brother
Nitro
won the youth class! Congratulations!
7.12.2008 Some more news
Great news from Sweden: Three more
Kössi-offspring at the West Coast Tollers have finished
their Swedish game tracking championship. The new champs are
Charlie, Majsan and Kosi. Congratulations, well done!
Inca and Löwe from Redadict First
litter have done agility with good results. Löwe got a zero
round in class MAXI1 and Inca got the result she needed to
move to the highest level by winning MEDI2-class.
The worries with Tiitus are not over
:-( A while ago we noticed he drinks and pees a lot. He got
a diagnoses of kidney malfunction and is an a special diet
now. In few months we'll do the blood work again and see if
the urea is lower. I'm pretty optimistic fight now because
he's already drinking les.
22.11.1008 news again
Lets start with health related
results: Kössi's son
Luigi has A/A hips and 0:0 elbows. Congrats! Two of WCT
Muumin's have gotten their PRA-test back:
Rusa is A,
Red Baron B.
Shows then:
Ville
has been to his first show and it went really nicely, he was
BOB puppy, congrats! Ville's mum Oona has earned a new
title, BH. BH is a title you get when passing the test
needed before being allowed to start in utility in Finland.
Otto and Kössi daughter Essi were at
the Jyväskylä int show. The judge Harto Stockmari found Otto
too short in body and his legs were too long and therefore
he got a Good. Essi, representing the very opposite
proportions was chosen best female and got her second CAC
and CACIB. Congrats! Otto's sister Jing won the junior class
in Norwegian Winner show! Congratulations!
And this is some kind of result as
well: Oodi is definitely pregnant :-D
22.11.2008 Training in Sweden
Last weekend we spent in Sweden and
took a course of Anita Norrblom. She is told to have a
special touch for training tollers and that seems to be very
true. She has a very nice system suitable for tollers. I'm
really looking forward following her methods and advice. A
big thank you for Jing's Johanna who made all this possible.
Marja-Liisa, who has Kössi's daughter Rasa was there as
well. Thanks for the company Marja-Liisa. And it was really
nice to meet other participants and not to mention Rasa's
siblings Impa, Gnista and Toppen with their owners.
11.11. news update
What's happened? Nothing much... We're
just relaxing after the summer :-D Relaxing and training for
next year.
Jing the Redadict has had some action!
First she passed the qualification test and is now allowed
to start in a hunting test. She has also been to a
conformation show and finished third best female. But the
best news is that she has A/A hips and 0:0 elbows!
Congratulations!
Some of Kössi's offspring have been
x-rayed as well. Rilla (Hulivilin Happy litter) has A/B hips
and 0:0 elbows. Her brother Luigi has been x-rayed as well
and the results should be here any day soon. five out of
seven Muumin pups (West Coast Tollers) have been checker and
all had A hips and 0 elbows. Jihaa!!!
Both Daisy's and Oodi's owners are
abroad right now. Meaning it's like circus here :-D Bitti
and Daisy had a nice weekend last week when we visited our
friend and did lots of training. Oh boy that little Daisy
sure can retrieve! No matter what the task (search, memory
thingies or marking), she solved easily. When she gets
more self confidence and better self esteem she will be
super! Bitti's work looks nice as well but we still have a
long way to go until we cans tart in open class working test
next year.
15.10 Dog flying...and flying back
home
as you already know Johanna and Jing
visited us to take part in the training weekend. They flew
in on Friday and flew home on Monday. Jani drove them to the
airport so that they could be on the flight to Oslo leaving
at noon. Around three o'clock I see on my cell that Johanna
is calling. Why is she calling, I wonder. The beginning of
the conversation goes something like this: Me: Hi,
everything OK? Johanna: Noup. Me: What's wrong then?
Johanna: Johanna: Jing is still on the plane and flying back
to Helsinki! It really took only seconds for me to drop
everything at work and drive to the airport. Even though the
people at the airline had promised Johanna they would take
care of Jing, I insisted to go make sure she got out of her
crate, got water and was taken for a walk. When I entered
the arrivals hall I was advised to contact ground services
at handling firm RGT. So I did. First the lady made some
phone calls but finally refused to help me find out how I
could locate Jing and get to her. It was not her job, she
said. Well, I made the decision to turn to the airline
Blue1. When I was already at the counter telling what was my
problem a person from SAS ground services reached me.
together with him we located the dog and arranged for her to
get water and go out. Thank god for his help and kindness.
But there was still one problem to be solved: Jings crate
would not have fit into the next Blue1 plane to Oslo. Great!
Gladly there was a Finnair flight that could take her. So
she flew back home with blue wings. Now they are luckily
home... I just can't stop wondering how all this could
happen! I hope we will find out soon enough... And how lucky
we were that the plane come back to Helsinki and did not fly
somewhere else from Oslo!
15.10 health stuff
Otto, son of Mila and Jouni, has been
x-rayed and the official results are: Hips A/B elbows 0:0.
Fantastic!
Tiitus has been castrated. Reason for
this was him loosing his appetite and getting skinnier and
skinnier every day. He also madly fell in love with our
neighbors lapponian herder and sow and heard nothing else
accept that beautiful princess of his. The final decision to
castrate him was made after he got problems with his
prostate. So far so good? No. He got an allergic reaction
toward the thread made to do the stitches five days after
the surgery. Off the stitches went and antibiotics in stead.
After few days he got a huge (I mean huge!) boil on his left
side. It's getting better so there is a light at the end of
the tunnel. And the best part is him getting his appetite
back!
13.10 Training weekend!
This weekend we spent in Inkoo
training dogs. This was the first Siipiveikon & Redadict
training weekend. Hopefully we can make this a new tradition
:-D On Friday we started with agility. The more advanced
dogs did a short course and the pups could try some of the
obstacles Sonja Holopainen as our instructor. On Saturday
and Sunday we trained retrieving with Kikka Koljonen, Kati
Tuominen and Ville Rantala as instructors.
I'm really happy that so many of the
Redadicts were there and enjoyed the weekend with us. Thank
you all for coming!

Picks will follow soon!
13.10 Results and other stuff
A lot has happened since the latest
update - again. Even though there has not been any news I
have tried to update results on every dogs own page. The
hole home page is still unfinished. In addition to the new
lay out there was supposed to be only few small chances, yea
right.... ;-D But it's coming.
Among others sibling Essi and Hulda
have succeeded. Both got a first prize in beginners class in
obedience. Eetu passed the retrieve test together with his
owner Liisa. She deserves a medal for the good work and the
right kind of chance of attitude towards dog training and
handling. Congratulations!
Bitti, Rasa and Daisy visited the show
ring in Retriever organizations yearly show. Rasa got HP and
finished BOS-pup! Daisy didn't get a HP in her class but
behaved really nicely inside the ring so this show was good
training for the future. I had high hopes for Bitti but did
not know what to expect. The last two Belgian judges have
only given her a very good. But the judge for the day, Gera
Toeters-Riethoff, liked her, made her second best bitch and
gave the last CAC needed for the championship!
22.9 Toller club's club championships
in obedience in Kuopio
we should have stayed home if we look
at the results Speedy and Bitti made (yes, I'm a
perfectionist. Only 200 or 320 points is enough...) Speedy
made many stupid things and got three zeros, third prize. I
think it's not that he would not know what to do. He just
can't do it in a competition situation. Lack of
concentration, lousy nerves? He sure wants to do and loves
to do all these tricks but it must be that the excitement is
just too much for him. What would be the solution? More
competing or no competing at all. who knows... I really have
to think what I am going to do with him regarding competing
in obedience. I have learned to control my behavior and do
trust him but still there is a problem. Frustrating! Bitti
got a first prize in open class. We took a zero in lay down
from heel, My command was not exactly the same as in home
and the second command come too late. she took a nine from
call in. But other moments were full ten points. This was
her first competition out of the normal surroundings and I'm
really glad to notice she took no disturbance. She takes her
work really seriously :-D
Thanks to Kati and Atti who let our
gang stay over night at their place. It was very nice to see
Kössi daughters Essi and Hulda. Not to forget their mum Eve
who just become tracking champion last weekend. We also met
"the ladies with long legs" Pihka and Tinka. Thanks to mum &
dad who took care of Tiitus and Nina & Harri who had Kössi
while we were away.
8.9.2008 Toller clubs hunting test
and toller show
highlights of the year in Finnish
toller world: hunting test and show. Because Bitti is in
season right now Speedy got her place in beginners class. He
is seven years now and what do you know! He decided to leave
a game he had found. Goes without saying it was a zero. If
it's any comfort (it's not) many others had the same
problem. Actually, out of 15 starting tollers only 2 got a
prize. the other, Siipiveikon Muusametsätähti (1st prize)
was announced hunting test new beginner and the other one
was Kössi-daughter "Oona", first prize as well. they also
got the prize for best co-operation in beginners class.
Congratulations! Kössi-daughters Rilla and Essi started in
beginners as well. Zero it was :-(
Kössi started in open class. We really
had to work for the direction, he missed the other one in
the double marking but had an excellent search. That was
enough for the second prize. So my dream become true! he
become a real Swedish champion and can join the magnificent
retrievers such like Drögstas Cat-Ri-Ona and Rödrävens
Björnbär. He was the best toller in open/winners and is now
hunting test master of the Finnish toller club. We also got
the trophy for best co-operation.
On Sunday we had the show: Rasa was
third best pup in class of young females, Daisy was in the
same class but was not placed. Both got very promising
critique, though. Bitti was second best female in hunting
class and in best female ring the final cac was not that far
away! Speedy got very good in champions, Tiitus exc and
third best champion. Kössi excellent and second best
veteran. He was also chosen toller master (show and hunting
test combined) of 2008! Kössi's son Kamu was also in the
show and finished second in hunting class. Congratulations!
the only Redadict was R. Rodeo Rider "Otto". Otto hit the
jackpot by winning the junior class and taking a CAC.
Congratulations!
10.8 summer show
Bitti participated in the Helsinki
Summer Show and ended up getting a very good from Belgian
Monique van Brempt.
9.8 working test in hollola
Finally, first prize for Bitti! Also
Speedy was entered and he got a third prize because he only
got only five points from search even though we had enough
points for second prize. I'm really happy with Speedy's
work, he was concentrated, listened well and not too
excited. Bitti was normal herself, my little princess doing
her best. And when there was a mistake it was me doing it by
interfering with her work. The tasks we had were a single
marking, near search, marking over a ditch + heel work to
the other side + a line and finally line on water. Bitti
ended up to have same points with a flat and we had to do a
small walk up so the judges could place us. Bitti got second
place and the flat third place.
9.8 other results
Congrats to Rilla (Eve & Kössi) for
first prize in beginners class obedience and to Puntti for
first prize in game tracking!
6.8 Specialen!
Speciality! That just is a must place
to be. So we were there :-D. This year we even left earlier
than usually in order to make it to the Barkarby Outlet area
near Stockholm. I managed to resist most of the temptations
- our friend Heidi not so well :-D After shopping we drove
to Gålo camping where we had booked a cabin and spent rest
of the Thursday exploring the place and mingling.
Friday was Bitti's working day. We
participated the Working Test. the test consisted of five
tasks: memory marking, water marking, heelwork + marking,
marking + line and search. Three of these went perfectly but
on the water and on the marking + line she needed some help.
We managed to be among the five best and took part in the
final which was a walk up. Our final placement was second
and we also got a special price for the best search. Great!
(Next year we will make it to the price giving ceremony!!!!
I promise!) The winner of the class was Jill the
Mayflowerdancer Vom Lech Toller Nest. Congratulations!
Saturday was a day for the masters
class and junior hunting tests. From a breeders point of
view it was a pity that the masters class was done with
dummies because you could not see how the dogs work on game.
Nevertheless it was a nice competition. Bitti's mum Gremmy
won the test. Congrats! I managed to be just right on time
at the junior test area to see two Kössi ofsprings work.
Both got a zero because not a one bird was picked up
spontaneously. What a pity!
Then was the show day! And what a nice
day it was! Kössi was BIS senior and second best male, Bitti
second best female in hunting class and also participated
the Lech-toller breeders group finishing in second place.
Kössi & Toppa pups (four months and two days) did well also:
in smaller female pup Impa (A. Fiina i Kråksången) won her
class, Fiina (A. Fiinfiina) was fourth and Gnista (A.
Fiinemang) fifth. Toppen (A. Fiinlir) was second best male
young pup. Sushi & Kössi pups did well in the junior class:
Third best female was Kaxi (WCT Morran) and fifth best XX
(WCT Lilla My). In junior males West Coast Juniors finished
second, third and fourth: Kosi (WCT Snusmumriken), Charlie
(WCT Sniff) ja Red Baron (WCT Mumin). Jing held up the
Redadict flag attending junior females. After the poring
rain and the finals it was time to pack our things and head
to the ferry.
We would like to congratulate all the
winners and placed dogs! Special congrats go to Lech-toller,
West Coast Tollers and Agrosofens. Than you for being there
:-D Big thanks to Heidi and all other friends who helped or
just gave their input for this wonderful weekend by being
there! Next year we'll do it again :-D
I will put some pick
here!
25.7 Lyyli
I have co-owned Kössi-daughter
Jadored's Red Rocket "Lyyli" together with Anu Koskivaara. I
had the right for one litter. Now I have decided not to use
my right and Lyyli become Anu's dog. There were many small
things that made me do this decision, Lyyli lacks water
passion, has very little coat etc but the biggest factor was
her two siblings having allergies. I do not want to make a
deliberate choice of producing possibly ill dogs. I wish
good luck for Anu and Lyyli in the future!
17.7 puppy test
Pups were tested by Janne Ruokonen
yesterday. As expected, they turned out to be normal pups.
Bertta and Elina were most energetic, fearless and very
outgoing - almost dominant. Calle was a bit surprising, he
was not the energy package we are used to see in the pack.
But after a while he relaxed and performed like any normal
pup. Daniela and Alma were the ones to act most reasonably,
Daniela had stronger reactions but dealt the situations very
well by herself.
Today the pups will be checked by a
vet, microchipped and also some blood to be sent to Optigen
will be drawn. By the end of the weekend the house will be
empty. Alma will move to Kajaani, Bertta to Ikaalinen, Calle
to Sweden, Daniela to Oulu and Elina to Kuopio. Good luck!
14.7 Ruska has become FIN OB CH!
Kössi & Helmi daughter
Ruska has
become Finnish Obedience Champion! Congratulations to Juha &
Ruska!
14.7 Results from previous weekend
Very nice show results for Redadict's
Otto and Nitro
who both got excellent and were placed in best male
competition, congratulations! Their brother Kairo debuted in
junior class a while ago and got good. Well, that's a start.
Itu & Kössi son Teppo and Eve & Kössi daughter Essi were in
a game tracking competition and both managed to get a first
prize. Congratulations!
14.7 World Winner Dog Show
WW is a place to be when it's as close
as it was: Stockholm. Our trip had three purposes: Show
Bitti (went pretty well: excellent the other day and very
good in the actual ww), look for interesting male candidates
(found some!) and mingle with friend I can't see that often
(highlight of the trip, of course). Johanna and
Jing
were there as well and made me a very proud breeder by
finishing fourth in the competition for the junior title.
Congratulations!
25.6 latest news
We have been pretty much stuck at home
while others have been busy. So there are pick & result
updates here and there. Only if I could remember
where!
The pups are growing and have reached
their four weeks milestone. Unfortunately we have had kennel
couch. First Tiitus got sick, then Speedy and Bitti, then
Oona and Kössi. Despite our efforts to avoid the pups
getting it, they did. Luckily all accept for Calle had only
mild symptoms and everyone is OK now. The camera has not
been used much but we promise to improve on that.
3.6 JOSH has earned his WCX
Wonderful news from Canada have
reached us. Josh has earned his WC, WCI and WCX tittles and
can be called Redadict Road Runner WCX now. And he is only
10,5 months old! Congratulations Sue and Josh! I'm sooo
proud right now. Also Dixie, Foxgrove's Whistling Dixie,
half sister to
Daisy earned
her WCX title, congratulations!
1.6 puppy news & game tracking results
Oona and the pups are doing fine. You can almost hear
them grow! I almost envy their easy living: eating,
sleeping, crawling a bit, eating, sleeping.... :-D
Nitro from R & R litter has been to a game tracking test
and has finished with 47 points and a first prize! Congratulations Niina &
Nitro! Jing in Norway did no worse, she took a first prize
with a HP as well! Congratulations Johanna & Jing!
28.5 Alma, Bertta, Calle, Daniela & Elina

The little one's are here! One male and four
females. Oona and the pups are doing fine.
21.5 Pup news
On Sunday me and my friend Marja-Liisa
flew from Helsinki to Stockholm to visit
Toppa &
Kössi pups. The main purpose of this trip was to check
out the pups and decide who would be "Rasa", Marja-Liisa's
new friend for all kinds of activities. Altogether there was
eight pups: four girls and four boys. All of them very
lively, playful and all had pretty sharp teeth ;-) Bit thank
you to breeder Annika who put up with us the hole day and
let us "inspect" the pups. Picks will follow as soon as I
can figure out who is who...
While we were on our holiday managed
Eve & Kössi pups
some fantastic results: CAC's for Hulda & Essi and Rilla
finished second in Mölleri, an unofficial hunting test dome
with game. Way to go! Congratulations!
Oona is at our house now. One week to
go until the pups arrive...
17.5 IN NEW YORK AND VISITING josh
Last few days we spent overseas
together with our friends Laura & Tomi. Our trip started
with few days in New York. When you go overseas it's
definitely a city you just must go to. We visited the famous
tourist attractions like the statue of liberty, Time Square,
Central Park, Wall Street, Empire State Building. Due to bad
weather we also found our selves indoors: Macy's just around
the corner from our hotel was the nicest and most expensive
place to avoid rain...

New York buildings
as seen from Central Park.
From New York we drove
north. Our destination was small village called Glen
Robertson in Canada. That's where Josh lives now. Laura and
I spent few days observing and discussing how dogs are
trained in their style while Tomi and Jani went to see
Montreal and Ottawa, the biggest towns nearby. Josh was
doing well and he works really really nicely. Thank you so
much, Sue and Pierre for letting us stay with you in the
middle of your training season.

Sue Kish, Josh &
Pierre Mathieu
Training ideas and tips
was not the only thing we brought back from there! We also
brought the sweetest puppy ever:
Daisy.
Before our flight back
home we had just enough time to visit the famous Niagara
Falls. Here is a picture from the American walls. You simply
could not keep dry without the lovely yellow rain coat.

We also would like to
thank people who made our trip more relaxed and nevertheless
possible: Thanks mum and dad for taking care of Tiitus &
Speedy, Nina for taking care of Kössi and Anna & Ville for
taking care of Bitti!
4.5 result update
Excellent Redadict results: Couple of
obedience wins in class 1 for
Löwe who
has been competing with Tiina Kinnari.
Jing got
HP and CK in Norway and also finished as second best bitch
in the other show. Her brother
Nitro won
the junior class with excellent in Lahti INT.
Congratulations!
Speedy and Tiitus competed in
obedience. Should have stayed home... Tiitus was on a
another planet than I was and we can't speak of any kind of
co-operation between us so I decided to retire instead of
making things very unpleasant for both of us. Speedy started
with four tens but we got couple of zeros as well so the
result was a third prize. Shame on us.
Bitti started in a Working Test. Can
you guess the result? A round zero... Well she missed a
marking and we could not get the dummy with directing so
there went the result as well. In three other tasks she got
19, 18 and 15 points so otherwise I can be really happy on
her performance.
Lyyli has
been mental tested. She got together 174 points, everything
was on the plus side so we can be happy with her
performance.
6.4 unofficial team hunting test
Toller clubs team for this year
consisted of Mila & Jouni son "Kairo", Kössi & Eve daughter
"Rilla" and Bitti. Our team finished eight out of seventeen
teams. Kairo and Rilla did really well considering their
level of training and amount of experience their handlers
have. So we can be proud.
Bitti did really nice. Her search was
good after she got her diesel engine working. Line was good
accept for me needing to stop her and send her forward
again. The double marking was perfect. Out of sixty point we
pulled together fifty-five :-)
5.4. obedience, shows & pups
How good idea is it to be out of the
house for a week and next day start in obedience? Not very
good. We did it but the work was not very well finalized.
Speedy, Tiitus and Bitti started in our own club test last
weekend. Speedy was the fast and inpatient himself and
managed to pull together enough points to get a first prize
in elite. Tiitus started in winners class (level three out
of four), was a bit unconcentrated in one moment plus
got a zero in the jump. This together with some unfinalized
moments he got enough points to get a good second prize.
Bitti was her usual: very obedient and trying her best.
Trying too much and that caused us to get a zero in standing
because she lied down. But altogether enough points for a
first prize.
In the same test R & R pups dam Mila
got her third first prize in beginners and got the title
TK1.Her son Otto, Redadict Rodeo Rider finished second best
male pup in a show in Korpilahti the same day.
Congratulations to both of them!
We also want to congratulate Toppa,
Agrosofens Kastanjetta, who gave births to four beautiful
girls and four handsome boys. Daddy Kössi and rest of the
Redadict gang send their congratulations!
29.3 oona mated
Oona has been mated to quiz and now we
just wait and keep our fingers crossed! Big thanks to Tina
and Jörgen at Lövenborg for their kindness and hospitality!
29.3 bitti and speedy at a show
Bitti and Speedy were shown to
Raimo Louhio in Ruovesi. Speedy become second best male,
Bitti got "just" VG.
23.3 josh safely into Canada
Josh and Jani had a safe trip to
Canada via New York. Now Jani is back home after spending
few days at Sue's place and few days in New York. A place
worth visiting, I hear... Josh is doing fine in his new
home.
16.3 winter hunting test and show
On Saturday Bitti and I participated
in an unofficial hunting test in Middle Finland. Bitti
started the search nicely, her own rather slow style but she
used her nose pretty well. Her catch in the time allowed was
four birds out of six. After the search we moved to another
area to do the markings and the line. We had some serious
discussions on whether to bring the seagull from the marks
but finally she did what she was told. The line went
perfect, though.
On Sunday we drove to Tampere Int
show. It turned out to be a success! Bitti won the hunting
class, an was selected best itch and was awarded her first
CAC & CACIB. Ramon, Fireheart Kid Sundance was selected BOB
and Bitti was BOS. Congratulations to Ramon! And thanks for
the company Heidi and Ossi, who drove with us :-)

12.3 Bingo in memoriam
We have received very unfortunate
news. One of Kössi's sons, Bingo, had bit his owner badly
and was put down. Condolences to Bingo's family.
11.3 on his way to a new home
This is a story of how there can be
always something good in bad things as well: One and half
months ago,
Mila & Jouni son Toffe come back to me. One thing led to
another and now he is on his way to a new home in Canada.
His new name will be Josh and he will be owned and trained
by Sue Kish at the
Foxgrove kennels. Good luck to both Sue & Josh!
18.2 jing in shows
Mila & Jouni daughter
Jing has
been to two shows in Trondheim, Norway. Both times she was
BOB puppy and become BIG-4. Perfect way to start lady Jing's
carrier, Congratulations!
4.2. a date in Sweden
On Friday evening my friend
Marja-Liisa and I drove to Turku and took a ferry to Sweden.
The wind was awful and the night a bit restless but we
made it to Sweden :-) In the morning we drove to Tärnsjö,
north of Uppsala. It was time for for Kössi and
Toppa to
meet and have their date. Everything went perfect. The
weekend was joyful and we had a really nice time meeting
some dogs and people of the Agrosofen "gang". Thank you all!
Special thanks to
Tico's "mum" Johanna who had fixed our accommodation and
kept our hunger away. Now we are back home, tired but happy.
We'll keep our fingers crossed for some more exciting news
in nine weeks!
4.2 parkano SHOW: Bitti 4TH best
female, Lyyli 3rd best female
While I was in Sweden took Jani and
Nina took both our Bitti and Nina's Mila to a group show in
Parkano. Big thanks to both of them for doing this and
for Nina for showing Bitti. Mila got VG and Bitti was second
best female in working class and finished fourth best
female. Lyyli was also shown and she finished third best
female and go a res-CAC. Congratulations!
4.2 kössi veteran toller of 2007
Finnish Toller club gave out the
"title" Veteran Toller of the year for the first time. It
was Kössi who won the title for 2007. The old guy made us
very proud :-)
2.4 toffe is doing fine
Toffe is doing fine here among our
gang. He is getting along with the boys and Bitti really
well. Only if they would melt little more and start playing
more. So far just a little running beside. But they will
melt...
Looks like Toffe has found a new nice
family. We will know for sure in few weeks. Until that we'll
continue with basic training.
24.1.2008 bitti eye examined
Bitti has been eye examined and the
diagnoses was now confirmed to be cataract. I still had hope
in my mind that it could have been something else - after
all the chance was in an untypical place etc. Such a pity!
24.1. Five dogs...
...is absolutely too much! Even though
that is the current number of red coats in this family. On
Saturday is was informed that Toffe, son of Mila and Jouni
had to move. Family reasons said the owner. The very next
day Toffe was already here with us. He is getting along with
rest of the dogs very nicely. He will be training basic
obedience etc here with us until we find him a good home.
7.1.2008 past, present, future...
Few birthday congratulations are in
order. A bit late but better late than never? Tiitus and his
littermates turned four on December 27th, congratulations.
Kössi and Itu -litter aka the Rockets' turned two on new
years day, congratulations! And one congratulation already
in advance: Small fetcher Idols after Kössi and Debi will
turn one on January 13th.
This weekend we spent Kuopio and
Kajaani. Up north that is... Oona, Lyyli and their half
siblings Essi and Hulda from the Hulivilin litter attended
INT show. Lyyli got res-CACIB and Hulda was third best
female. Well done :-) Oona got VG and Essi EXC. Thanks to
our host family, Essi's owners for the nice company and
accommodation!
Our plans for next year? The plan is
not to have plans. Oona's pups will be a big project for the
spring. Then we'll see how Bitti develops in her "job(s)"
and go from there. The boys will sure have something to do
also. Maybe something new, who knows. Also a
Redadict-training weekend is planned for the autumn. But the
biggest and most important goal is to enjoy our time
together and have as many memorable moments as possible :-)
