UPCOMING REDADICT-LITTERS
Our next litter will
be for Naatti spring/Summer 2012. Another
litter for Bitti & Gunner is planned for
autumn 2012.
NAATTI & INTO
We are expecting to have excellent
workers with good drive, will to please with lots of
birdyness. Pups will be sold to homes interested in working
with their dogs actively.
Naatti is imported from Canada in
2009. Her dad is Dux (Cedar Fog Midnight Seduxtion) a male
on the smaller side with very nice proportions and building
with tons of titles within hunting, obedience/utility and
agility whom I had the privilege to meet and fall in live
with when picking Naatti up. Naatti’s mum Sassy (Foxgrove’s
Whirling Dervish) is one of the most successful obedience
dogs in Canada just like her mum. Sassy has also SH title to
prove her ability as a hunting dog. Naatti comes out of a
litter with altogether six pups. All her siblings have a
hunting merit among other merits and titles.
Naatti herself has first prize in
beginners class obedience, one first prize away from game
tracking champion title, first prize in hunting tests in
Finland and third prize in tolling test in Sweden. She
became Junior Toller master at the Swedish Speciality last
year. She is Finnish show champion.
Naatti is one of the birdyest tollers
I have met. She has always picked up everything
spontaneously even if it has been new kind to her.. Her grip
has been rather superficial but has improved a lot with age
and experience. When training with game she is one level
more enthusiastic compared to training with dummies. She is
always absolutely quiet and fully focused on given tasks. It
has taken a while for her to get more self-confidence and
for us to build up a trust between us but since that has
happened she takes pressure better and is more handelable
for example in directions. So one could say she is a bit
handler soft. She is not the fastest learner but once she
learns something she does what is asked without leaving
anything or adding anything. She is also slightly
“environmentally soft” which could be seen for example in
her mental descriptions shooting part (you can find the
video here). No such softness can be seen in everyday
situations and she is the easiest dog to live with both at
home and when travelling. She has also been her own relaxed
herself when someone has been taking care of her during our
trips. she is good with other dogs and people.
Into is a male who has achieved some
really nice results despite his young age: first prize in
hunting tests beginners prize, first prize in beginners and
open class obedience and BH (qualification test for utility)
and has two CAC:n in conformation shows. Into’s mum is
Finnish show champion Tollerbay Zophia ala Luca, Zofi who
has results in agility and obedience. Zofi, like three other
out of four siblings, has passed the Finnish retrieve test.
Into’s dad Kuta, Tollarbos Kuta Lira Banjo is a Swedish male
with merits within tolling tests and obedience. He was
selected the Tollermaster in 2008. Into himself has seven
siblings. All have A/A hips, 0:0 elbows and healthy eyes.
Three have passed the retrieve test as well. I have seen
almost all of Zofi's pups and liked their retrieving passion
and skills very much and find them very talented.
Into’s owner tells about Into
following: Into has always had a very good, healthy self
esteem. He is rather independent but also very obedient. He
is relatively environmentally hard dog and thinks nothing
bad could harm him. He has always been comfortable on
different kind of surfaces and surroundings. Into is an
active dog with relatively high need for physical and mental
work. He is social toward other dogs and people.
In obedience training he always tries
his best and is very punctual. He is a bit handler soft and
therefore has been trained with only positive methods. Yet
he can take repetition and pressure such as a bit stressed
handler at competition situations. He can be rewarded both
with food and play/toys. In tracking he seems to be very
independent and enduring tracker. What comes to hunting
training he seems to be on the hotter side and we have
needed to work some in order to keep him quiet. He has a
never ending will to retrieve and is spontaneous on all
kinds of game and has a good grip. Free search is his
strength and he has lots of water passion. He has never had
any problem with gun shots or other sudden hard noises.

Serious enquiries on our future

BEGINNING OF REDADICT PUPS LIFE
Stimulative environment is a must for
a young pup. In our house the pups get to get used to normal
household sounds, other adults and kids, driving a car and
other dogs. They get regularly to run free inside the house
and even outside when the weather is good. All kinds of game
will become familiar to them. When they head to their new
homes they will get feeding instructions, training tips etc
to follow. Our pups are ready to leave their first home and
head for the new adventures at the age of seven to eight
weeks. Bu then they have been de-wormed, micro chipped and
checker by a veterinarian. We also welcome all potential
puppy buyers visit us and the dogs before the litter is even
born!
I wish all the buyers would keep
contact and keep me informed how "my" dog is doing. Both in
good and bad. I will also help in any dog related question
any day of the week. The problems in training are also
easier to solve when you "put two heads together". We also
organize training in hunting but also in obedience, tracking
etc. Hopefully a training weekend will become a tradition.
We had our first one in October 2008.
It is important that the buyers know
what they are getting when they take a puppy from one of the
Redadict litters. Therefore I will see to it that they get
to know all health related issues behind the parents. A
litter with no problems does not even exist but it helps to
know what you are facing.
I can't emphasize enough the
importance of a good home! Good home for me is a home where
the dogs is loved and taken cared of but where the dogs
knows his place. A dog is not a human and they need a proper
training. Pups will go through a puppy test at the age of
six to seven weeks. After that and daily observing I have a
good idea what ingredienst they are mede of. After getting
to know the buyers personality and listening his/her plans
for the future I unite most suitable pairs.
The same qualities that make toller
capable to work as a retriever, make it suitable for many
other activities as well. All Redadict pups are sold to
families where owners are interested in competing and taking
tests as well. A toller always has tons of energy for work
and they need a pleasing and pleasant way to use that energy
together with their handler - what ever the activity is. I
hope all pups get a chance to work as a retrieving dog.
That's what they are designed for! And their skills in that
is worth cherishing. My sincere wish is that all the pups
will be taken to a basic retrieve test. That is the only way
we can get black on white about their skills and qualities.
This will benefit both me as a breeder as the breed itself.
HEALTH GUARANTEE
Puppy buyers must commit to x-raying
their dogs hips and elbows and having eyes checked before
the age or two years plus rechecking their dogs eyes around
the age of seven. If the puppy has been fed and given
exercise according to my advice I will offer the buyer a new
puppy if the first dog turns out to have bad hips
or elbows or has an eye decease and can not be uses for the
purpose the dog has been bought for because of the illness. In this case bad hips mean FCI grade D or worse and eye decease includes deceases which
rule the dog out from breeding program according to Finnish
Kennel club's rules for registration (PEVISA).
MERITED BUYER DISCOUNT
What the pup turns out to be as an
adult depends very much on the owners skills and expertise.
I wish all Redadicts to get an active owner and therefore I
will to give an reasonable discount for all buyers who have
succeeded in hunting tests or another dog sport with
his/hers previous self-trained dog. Then I just he or she
will be as active with her Redadict pup as before.
MAKE YOUR REDADICT A CHAMPION AND GET
REWARDED
If a Redadict pup passes the retrieve
test or a similar test and becomes a champion in agility,
tracking, utility or hunting (according the the Finnish
championship requirements) the owner will get a Redadict pup
for free if he or she has trained and merited the dog
himself/herself. It will be my pleasure to reward a job well
done with a new puppy! |
